About me

I have been working with children, teens and their families for years as a clinical psychologist.  I am passionate about understanding families and I how I can best help them thrive; photography gives me another way to connect with individuals.  My own children span the years from 10 to 19 and are a perfect blend of my Scoth-Irish roots and my husband's Cuban heritage. Like most modern families, we take it ALL on and strive to find the balance between hard work and hard play.  For me, photography fits right into that balance! We lead a full and busy life but I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't go anywhere in the AM without a cup of iced coffee (but makeup can be optional). I'm a sucker for anything vintage and a high for me is a great find at a thrift store. I'm a lover of a great garden but a hater of gardening.  I prefer the beach over the mountains, beer over wine (some may consider me a beer snob) and sugary sweets over salty ones. Whole Foods honey buns are my obsession and it's a sad day when they run out!

Pricing

Children, Family and Teen Sessions

I aim for photo shoots to be fun, relaxing and easy for all.  Children, family and teen sessions last for approximately one hour; sitting fee is $125.  Prints, photo albums and digital downloads are all available for purchase.  For those interested in longer sessions, please contact me for pricing information.  You can expect at minimum a 30 edited images from a session.  Photos will be available in an on-line gallery within 4 weeks after your shoot.  I am also happy to schedule an order session where we can review products (I have samples) and pick the perfect items.

Underwater sessions

Underwater sessions are shot in my pool in Mount Pleasant or your’s from approximately May through early October. They last approximately 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Children will have an opportunity to show off all of their swim tricks-cannonballs, dives, flips and more. There will also be lots of free time to float, race and play games. Prints, photo albums and digital downloads are all available for purchase.

Location

Locations can include a variety of urban or traditional Lowcountry settings in and around Mount Pleasant, downtown Charleston, and/or Isle of Palms Beach.
